Pulsemaster welcomes new Key Account Manager to expand PEF utilization in the Americas

Pulsemaster, a leading provider of Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) systems for the potato processing industry, earlier today announced the appointment of Ben Lemieux as Key Account Manager responsible for the Americas region.

Mr. Lemieux joins Pulsemaster with 28 years of experience in the food processing industry. He is based in Canada’s New Brunswick province.

“Ben has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the French fry and appetizer/snack industry,” says Pulsemaster Managing Director, Mark de Boevere.

“Ben has lead plants and regional teams of experts in multiple facets of the business. During his career he was involved in a multitude of projects, ranging from factory operations, continuous improvement initiatives, technical and engineering services, major capital projects execution, and most recently, global capacity improvement efforts.”

Pulsemaster continues to specialize in Pulsed Electric Field processing and aims to apply this innovative technology – also known as electroporation – to the widest possible range of applications in the food industry.

Pulsed Electric Field food applications for the Americas region

Pulsemaster aims to utilize Ben’s expertise to expands the company’s position in Pulsed Electric Field food applications in the Americas. He will be assuming the role of Key Account Manager for North and South America, with a focus on supporting current customers in optimising their systems. He will also actively work with new customers, introducing them to the vast benefits of Pulsemaster’s PEF units.

Pulsemaster’s expansion in the Americas region

New PEF technology for larger peeled and un-peeled potatoes

The PEF technology offered by Pulsemaster aims to exceed the processing industry’s standards in the production of natural and food-safe consumer products. In 2022, Pulsemaster introduced a new PEF-system for processing the largest peeled and un-peeled potatoes experienced by some customers in North America.

This technology is intended for use on high capacity lines for French fry processors in the Pacific North West region and for sweet potato applications. Specially designed for big, raw material applications, the system also features a Clean In Place CIP of the PEF treatment tank unit in order to facilitate sanitation efforts.
